In nature the seed has to crack open to give birth to the first stem. In Alchemy to transform any metal, it first needs to be distorted from its original form. Darkness is the missing link to reaching the light. It is the magic that people are scared to approach. It is the initiative process of the alchemical transformation.

Mysterious and obscure, only the courageous and strong can walk through the Dark.
